Where the data comes from
Product names, ASINs, ratings, review counts and sales estimates come from Amazon sales-rank research compiled in August 2026. Sales figures are third-party estimates of monthly unit volume, not figures published by Amazon, and should be read as a rough ranking signal rather than exact numbers.
We do not display live prices. Amazon requires that displayed prices come from its Product Advertising API and are refreshed constantly; we do neither, so we show a broad price band instead and send you to Amazon for the real number. Ratings and review counts are point-in-time snapshots and will have drifted since we checked.
Why illustrations instead of product photos
This is the question we get asked most, so here is the honest answer. Amazon retired image access through SiteStripe in 2024, and its Product Advertising API — the only licensed route to official product images — requires a site to make qualifying sales before it grants access. Scraping images from Amazon or from Google Images would breach the Associates terms and other people's copyright, and hundreds of hotlinked external images would make this site slow.
So every product here carries an original illustration of that product type, generated from the listing. They are labelled as illustrations throughout and are never presented as photographs of the specific item. For the real photos, follow any link through to Amazon. When licensed image access becomes available, real photos will replace the illustrations.
Safety note
Age gradings, choking hazards and magnet warnings come from the product category, not from an inspection of each item. Always read the safety information on the Amazon listing itself before buying for a child. Nothing here is medical, therapeutic or developmental advice.
